EDITED: We’ve reached our limit at this time. We’ll re-open this at a later date when the need arises.
We’re going to start reviewing family friendly products in the very near future and we’d like to build a team of mom bloggers who’d like to help us with this project.
The more products we are asked to review and write about the more we’ll need help from fellow mom bloggers like yourself.
If you’d like to receive free “stuff” to use and review for this site please leave a comment with a valid email address and a link to your blog.
In a few weeks I’ll gather up everyone’s information, contact them for more information, and bring on a few moms for the review team.
(Hey, do you know a blogging buddy that would be interested in this? Send them our way!)

19 month old, Garren and his mother were recently off a continental express flight kicked The reason. Nope, not breastfeeding this time. The little boy kept saying “bye, bye, plane” and wouldn’t quiet down. The flight attendant asked the mother to give him medication to quiet him down and the mother refused. So they were kicked off the plane!
I understand that flying with little kids can sometimes be an annoyance to the passenger, but that is the chance you take. In no way do I agree a little 19 month old saying “bye, bye plane” should have been a) asked to be medicated and b) kicked off the flight.
I say, good for you Mom for standing up for your son and not making him resort to being doped up simply because he was speaking to the plane. I don’t know what is going on with the treatment of mothers and their little kids on flights lately, but I sure hope it doesn’t happen often and the only reason it seems that way is that the press is picking up on the stories.
I’m sure there are those rare few cases when a child is out of control, hysterical, and can’t be calmed down when flight attendants and passengers might want the family to catch another flight when things are calmed down, but this does not seem like the type of situation that would warrant that

This week’s theme: Memory with Grandparents.
I remember the joy of spending the night with my late Granny. What an amazing lady she was. In fact, I blogged about her recently on my other blog.
I remember staying up all night long. Playing “hide the thimble”. I remember going to the mall. And riding the bus. Looking through her photo albums. And her smell

Tonight I tackle the first podcast with a guest co-host. Like I said at my personal blog I feel like this is a bit of a cheat as far as tackle’s go. I see tackle as meaning something you need to do, but don’t want to do. I want to speak with Heather. I am very much looking forward to it.
But, it is a task in the fact that it must get done in order to bring a new podcast to you this week. So, there you go. A tackle that will be fun for me, hopefully for Heather, and for y’all to listen to! Look for the new podcast to air this week.
What’s your tackle for the day? Post a comment and let me know.
Speak soon,

This week’s theme:
Share your feelings and story of when you discovered you were pregnant for the first time.
*edited to say that many moms have had the moment of seeing the two lines. As someone pointed out, not everyone who has children saw those two little lines…*
We moms have all had the moment of reading that pregnancy stick for the first time. We can all relate to that experience. Even with the shared experience that doesn’t mean it all played out the exact same way or that we all felt the same.
I’d really like to read your story of this experience…this sweet memory of yours. To play along simply post on your blog that you’re joining in on this week’s Memory Lane Monday by MomsBlogging.com, post your story, and come back here to sign Mr. Linky so we can find your post and read your pregnancy memory!
You can also grab the button, save it to your computer, load it onto your blog, and link it to the site … if you’d like.
To read my story head over to
casual friday everyday

I’m spending the week in Jackson, Mississippi…
It’s going to be HOT…over 100 all week until Friday… the day that I leave… it’s supposed to be 91…
I’m in Jackson for business… and I’ve traveled quite a bit this summer… in fact, since June 9th until today, I’ve traveled 8,556 miles counting our vacation to Ohio.
That’s alot of driving and flying… I’m ready to be done to be honest. I feel like the summer’s flown by…
There’s always things that you have to make sure are taken care of when you’re away…
the kids… the dog… the house… and the blog…
seriously… don’t you plan for your blog when you’re going to be MIA?
the kids will spend the week with their dad… Rhoda will be staying here and my neighbor will come and watch her and the house.. but the blog?
Well….
Here’s the tricky part…
Sometimes I have loads of time sitting in airports or hotel rooms that I can blog to my heart’s content… and when you’re traveling there’s always something that you can blog about…
but other times?
not so much….
So, I plan ahead. Currently there are a few posts in my drafts that I can pull out on a moment’s notice and I have a few that I’ve set to auto post… just in case…
I would hate for you all to have to go through Heather withdrawal all because the company wants me in Mississippi for the week….
Not sure how to set up a post to publish automatically?
It’s super simple…
On WordPress, on your write post screen on the right, you’ll see a “post timestamp”. Check the “edit timestamp” box and select the date and time that you want it to post. Then click publish. It will show up when you need it to.
For the other platforms, I found these great instructions at blogging basics 101…
So here’s my question for you…
What do you do about your blog when you’re away?
Until next time…
Heather

There’s a good reason too…
At least, I think it’s a good reason…
So, don’t go anywhere… don’t delete from your feed reader… stick around…
And never fear, things aren’t changing…
And the podcasts will return soon… just need to get my ducks in a row!
Glad to be here…And I’m glad you’re here too!
Until next time…
Heather
